A) IELTS Speaking Part 1

Do you like sports? 

Yes, I do. I love all types of physical activities and engage with the physical world, and sports offer  me a chance to get physical. And not to mention sports play a crucial role in improving our mental and physical health.

Do you often watch sports on TV?

Well, I used to watch soccer, car racing and chess when I was young, but these days with a demanding schedule to stay on, I just manage to follow the news.

How often do you play sports?

Unfortunately, I’ve been lazy recently to do sports due to pressure of work. But I’m not gonna put the blame on the workload and say that’s why I can’t make it to the gym. It’s just plain lazy. I believe with putting in a minimal effort I can make some time to do sports.

B) IELTS Speaking Part 1

Do you prefer watching or playing sports? 

I’d absolutely rather play sports than watch them. For me, it’s a great deal to be there and feel the excitement or the stress. You know, when you’re so close to win or lose or to be the one who will bring the scores level, that’s the moment you’re filled with emotion and feel really alive. It really gets adrenaline flowing.

What’s the most common sport in your country?

I would say soccer because of a couple of reasons. First, it’s one of the most competitive and mainstream sports all around the world. Second, there’s a small room and budget for other sports to be purused professionally in my country.

Do you think it is difficult to learn a new sport? 

Obviously, there will be a lot of physical obstacles, and you need to be mentally tough and psych yourself up to overcome them.

C) IELTS Speaking Part 1

Are there many celebrity athletes in your country? 

I don’t think so. As much as I remember there are a few athletes in my country who do commercials or play in movies.

Did you prefer team sports or individual sports when you were young? 

I’ve been always partial to team sports in my entire life. I think it’s rooted in my personality to be cooperative and share happiness with others. I’m a very outgoing and caring person.
