Q. What type of photos do you like taking? [Why/Why not?]
Well, I have not given it much thought. I think I love taking many types of photos, either selfies of the funny faces I make or of the spectacular scenery of the desert in the central part of Iran or of lush green woods in the northern side of Iran. What I am not in favor of is taking photos of people.
Q. What do you do with photos you take?
Well, in the first place, I’d rather sort them out and delete the ones I find of lower quality. Then, I post some on my Instagram feed and tag some friends. But, there are always some I prefer printing out to put on the wall of my bedroom.
Q. When you visit other places, do you take photos or buy postcards? [Why/Why not?]
Since I have been a traveler for many years, even before I had a camera or a smartphone, buying postcards has been one of the rare activities that give a nostalgic feeling to me. But, when I visit other places, I do my best not to use my phone a lot and enjoy seeing the point of interest around. You know, hundreds of the quality photos of the highlights I’ve visited can be found on the Internet.
Q. Do you like people taking photos of you? [Why/Why not?]
Well, not really, even though I seem to be a little bit selfish and narcissistic in the eyes of the others. As I already mentioned, I love making funny faces and take selfies and sending them to my intimate friends to make them laugh however the ridiculous this act may seem.

Here in Tehran, the metropolitan capital of Iran where I live, the weather is awful and always polluted, to the extent that the blue sky is most of the time gray. in this polluted city, most of the days pass without perfect weather. But whenever I take a trip back to my hometown, most of the days are sunny and cool.
But, I believe the definition of a perfect day differs from person to person. I am passionate about a cool cloudy day with a little bit of drizzle. It was some weeks ago when I took a trip back to my hometown to pay a visit to my parents. On the second day of my staying there, my father suggested that we go on a picnic to one his friends’ beautiful farmland which is located not far from the city and is near majestic mountains.
A mile before we reached there, I noticed that thick gray clouds had already gathered, then some flashes and a rumble of thunder caught my attention. When we stopped before the cabin in the middle of the farm, the rain was pouring in torrents which made me unimaginably ecstatic. Immediately, I opened the door of the car and rushed out in glee and danced and jumped under the rain.
That day, I sat for an hour in the cabin; thereafter, when the rain stopped, I strolled around and let the sublime sight of the rising mountains to the west with their jagged peaks amaze me. I sniffed the infatuating smell of rain-soaked soil; and after long wearisome wandering, the super delicious smell of barbecue dragged me back to the cabin. I ate and slept in the car all our way back to my parents’. That weather with all the bewitching sights around gave hand in hand to leave one of my unforgettable memories in my mind. ielts speaking questions
Q. What types of weather do people in your country dislike most? Why is that?
Iran, with a great expanse of desert that has comprised it, means a country with sweltering hot weather, especially the central and southern part where the temperature rises to more than 50 degrees C in the summer. Therefore, what people dislike most is scorching hot weather.
Q. What jobs can be affected by different weather conditions? Why?
It is so simple that all jobs that are done outdoors will be enormously influenced by any adverse weather conditions. Take, for example, farmers who have to take care of demanding works out there. Encountered by severe weather conditions, people working outdoors have to stop working.
Q. Are there any important festivals in your country that celebrate a season or type of weather?
Well, I am not sure if Nowruz can be called a festival as there are few festivals in Iran. Well, Nowruz is when the majority of people stop working as offices and national organizations are closed for 3 days. It is when people celebrate the beginning of spring by visiting each other.
Q. How important do you think it is for everyone to check what the next day’s weather will be? Why?
It is highly important for everyone to find out about what the weather will be like the next day. If people like me who live in a mega city as Tehran do not check the weather forecast, his routine might be disrupted as he may stick in a traffic gridlock on the highways and reach his workplace quite late. I myself do my best to check some weather forecast Telegram App channels to make sure all will be fine the next day, if not, I will have to take necessary precautions.
Q. What is the best way to get accurate information about the weather?
Well, I think nowadays, there are diverse and plenty of apps and Telegram Channels for that matter. TV weather forecast can be fine and totally reliable, but as I already pointed out, Telegram Channels serve me fine as this App has grown incredibly popular throughout our country, Iran.
Q. How easy or difficult is it to predict the weather in your country? Why is that?
Even though Iran is a third world country, organizations dealing with weather forecasting benefit greatly from state-of-the-art devices that are used in the first world countries; thus, it is not much of a problem for Iranian experts to provide us with the most solid weather forecast.
